We from djs-face!® are on a constant quest to bring color into the lives of people. Creativity knows no limits, and neither do we.
Just a simple idea
It all started in 2004 with one simple idea. Looking at his DJ equipment and not being satisfied with what he saw, CEO and Founder of djs-face!® Daniel Matla decided that the times of boring black equipment had to stop.
Being a trained tool engineering technician as well as a graffiti sprayer and DJ himself, he had not only the technical know how, but also the necessary creativity and professional point of view as a DJ to create what no one before him had created. With hard work, precision and creativity he manufactured his first faceplates, knowing that this was the start of something great.
Ahead of time
At that time however, the thought of creating faceplates with prints on it was so ahead of its time that there didn’t even exist a machine which was able to print on faceplates. It took three years for the industry to catch up, with Daniel being one of the first people in 2007 to purchase that machine in Germany.
Being a young entrepreneur and one of the first to own this machine other companies started to use his services, which ultimately led to him losing his focus. Instead of the initial idea with all its creative processes money was now the focus of his work, with his social environment suffering and Daniel forgetting why he wanted to do it in the first place.
However he soon regained his focus and started doing what he could do best: customizing DJ equipment.
With no comparable product or even company on the market Daniel soon started working with some of the world’s best DJs, and was the first in the world who came up with the idea of colored knobs and faders (Video:http://blog.djcity.co.uk/2015/03/customizing-your-dj-gear-knobs-and.html).
Who the professionals trust in
Because of his hard work and his unique ideas djs-face!® was able to acquire a number of renown customers, for example David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Deorro, Justice, Fatboy Slim, Fedde Le Grand, Armand van Helden or Methodman and Redman, to only name a few.
But not only professional DJs started to trust in his abilities, but companies as well. Vestax for example was one of the companies to feature djs-face!® by placing a flyer in each shipment of one of their products. No matter where you bought a Vestax product in the world, you would also get a flyer of djs-face!®. Other companies we worked with include Akai, Numark or Reloop, or the most recent one being Native Instruments, for which we customized three TRAKTOR S8 Kontrols in order to celebrate 1 million TRAKTOR Facebook Fans.
On top of that we teamed up with the big EDM Festivals like Tomorrowland or Parookaville and worked for the World Club Dome and the Bootshaus.
So one thing we can be truly proud of is that the professionals truly trust in us.
Of course we are not only interested in making money with our company, but also in giving back to the people. We are investing in charitable projects, such as protecting the rain forest, cleaning the oceans and fighting world hunger. In the long run we want to establish a foundation.
We want to make the world a better place, and most of all a more colorful one.
